Appliances Unlimited

Sales & Service
About Us

Appliances Unlimited opened in Kewanee, IL over 20 years ago as a rent to own furniture, appliance and electronics store.   There were two locations.  One in Galesburg, IL and the Kewanee, IL location.  The Galesburg location was destroyed by fire a week before Christmas in 2004.  The current owner decided it was time to retire and in May of 2005, the business was purchased by Brian & Amanda Forrest of Forrest Home Furnishings, Inc. The rent to own business was then phased out.  The business was transformed into a retail operation of appliances and appliance repair service.  This decision allowed Appliances Unlimited to concentrate and specialize in appliances.

  Brian Forrest
Brian started his employement at Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg shortly after he graduated  from high school.  However, in 2003, Butler's was sold to an Australian company that decided to shut down the Galesburg Plant.  With this devastating news, Brian needed to find a new career and with the opportunity to purchase an appliance store, becoming an appliance repair technician was a perfect fit.  He attended a Whirlpool Training class in Minneapolis, MN and a Maytag Training class in Galesburg, IL.  He attends all training meetings that are offered for the brands that we service.  Brian has excelled in his new feild of employment and is now currently the instructor of the Maytag Training school in Galesburg, IL.   Contact Brian at  brian@appliancesunlimitedonline.com

Brian and Amanda have recently moved to Kewanee from Galesburg.  They enjoy the community and are looking forward to raising their two sons, Tucker and Trapper here.  Tucker helps out with the radio commercials and someday, Trapper will too.  And, if the boys are interested, they will become a part of the business when the time comes.
